2015 Letter from the President of the TASM
March 11, 2015
Hello Fellow Movers,
It was a pleasure seeing most of you at the 2015 Clear Lake Nasa Convention. The convention was a great time, full of educational opportunities, and entertainment for everyone. I would like to thank George McMillan, Cherry House Moving, Warren Davie, and Expert House Movers for allowing the TASM members to visit their jobsites and yards. They all had impressive projects, that made the convention more enjoyable as well as informative.
As many of you already know the TASM has choosen to hire a management firm to help with the development of the association. After months of consideration the board decided to go with ASMI. Along with the TASM they represent other clients such as: Professional Bondsmen of Texas, Foundation Repair Association Inc., Texas Association for Alternative Education, and Texas Association of Professional Geoscientists. After many discussions ASMI was hired in January of 2015. With a few weeks notice, Joe McCullough and his staff stepped in to help make the convention a success. Currently they are working on further development of our website to accommodate advertisements. ASMI was hired with the intention of making the TASM stronger, and thereby making it a more useful tool/asset for all members.
The association would not be where it is today with out the help of many of its members. I would like to say a special thanks to HD Snow & Son House Moving for their tremendous dedication to the TASM. Also to their office with Donna Landers, Debbie Smith, and Toni Barksdale; who have put countless hours in, all for the benefit of the association. The TASM will forever be greatful for what Donna and the Snow family has done to help make it a success.
In closing, I would like to say this is an exciting time to be a member of the TASM, with many changes in store for us. I am looking forward to the challenges and changes ahead. With strong support from our membership and ASMI, I feel the TASM can and will be stronger than ever.
